Time for regime to go

It is really sad to read and see the situation in Myanmar becoming chaotic with military junta personnel threatening those monks/nuns/lay people in a peaceful procession.

These people are all harmless and peaceful in their processions, unlike what we see on TV in other countries where people resorted to violence, bombing, killing etc with no concern for lives.

Although these millitary junta generals claim to be Buddhists, I doubt if any are really good Buddhists. Otherwise why are they holding power for so long - 19 years since 1988? If they are not good Buddhists, then they are as good as non-Buddhists for they will not follow the Buddha's teaching in obeseving the precepts!

If this is the scenario, then it will not be surprising if these millitary personnel starts to shoot everyone on sight at the gatherings or peaceful procession. Therefore, the people in Myanmar need to choose their course wisely although we are all with them, no doubt. We shall radiate our daily metta to them for their safety.

We all know that it is not easy to dislodge those who are in power for such a long time. More so, if they are millitary generals who have ruled the country with iron fists without regards to the opinions of people from all over the world.

And yet we hope that a 'miracle' will happen. We continue to pray and hope that the junta generals will suddenly come to their senses with the Blessings of the Triple Gem and negotiate with the peaceful monks/nuns/lay people for a better system of government for Myanmar.

We know that the people of Myanmar have been contained for far too long. The time has come for the break-up to happen! It is time that the Myanmar government change their outlook for a better tomorrow.

May the Blessings of the Triple Gem shower upon those peaceful human beings in Myanmar. May they be strong and continue with their peaceful cause. I hope that the pressure from all over the world - especially from the Chinese Government - will in some way help to contain and restraint the Junta Generals from taking any drastic actions.

We fully support groups that are taking actions to tell the Myanmar Government to restraint and act wisely.
