Tibetan Teacher visits Manjushri Buddhist Centre

Milton, Australia -- Tibetan Buddhist meditation master and respected teacher, Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe, will once more offer a weekend of teaching sessions at the Manjushri Buddhist Centre, Milton.
<< SPECIAL VISIT: Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe will visit Milton for a weekend of teaching. Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe is a Buddhist monk and scholar.
At the age of nine he and his parents agreed that he would become a monk and he trained intensively in all aspects of Buddhist teachings and meditations practices, before being accepted into the prestigious Sakya University in India.
Here he studied and taught for an additional ten years.
Attaining the level of Khenpo is equivalent in our education system to a PhD in Buddhist Philosophy and practice. At the request of His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin, Khenpo came to reside and teach in Australia, where he has been for more than 20 years.
Anyone is welcome to attend. Please arrive at 3:45pm (so the children are settled) for 4:00 - 4:30pm in a guided meditation and talk with Khenpo. Parents and/or carers must accompany all children attending and the cost is a donation.
On the evening of June 24 at 7:00 -8:30pm, there will be a public talk entitled Breaking Free From Negative Habitual Patterns. This is also open to anyone and costs a donation. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
On June 25 and 26 the teachings will be from the second century Buddhist Master Nagarjuna, Letter to a Friend.
Nagarjuna composed this letter of advice to his friend King Gautamiputra/Satavahana.
This advice gives a concise and comprehensive introduction to the entire path and practice of Buddhism. It guides both householders and the ordained onto the path leading to ultimate and pure happiness.
The instructions are of a special interest to those who wish to take up spiritual activity whilst continuing to live and work in society. These teachings are meant to convey the whole meaning of the Dharma to an ordinary person in a language and style that are easy to understand and apply.
Pre-purchased seating for the teaching weekend is essential.
