Buddhist Sect to Expand Temple Stay Programs for Foreigners

SEOUL, South Korea -- More Buddhist temples will take part in a program allowing foreign visitors an opportunity to experience Korea's Buddhist culture while staying in temples, organizers of the program said Tuesday.

The Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, Korea's largest Buddhist sect, said that it will offer the "temple stay" program in 44 of its affiliated temples across the country this year, up from the current 29.
