Blessings from Ven. Sumana

Los Angeles, USA -- May those suffering, be suffering free. May those in despair, be free from despair. By the power of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha, may all beings be free from pain, agony and distress.

May those who has passed on, be reborn in happier realms. For all the good deeds that we have done, and the merit gained thus, may we transfer it to the deceased.

Let every mother's tears dropped for each child lost, be a  testimony to the great love only a mother can give. Just as a mother would give up her life to save her one and only child, may all beings cultivate loving kindness.

May the flicker of the candle flame hold steady. For every flicker it makes, may we mindfully reflect on the shrill wail that pierces through the dark night, snuffing out one more life.

May the flicker of the candle flame hold steady. For every smoky plume that rises, the fragrance of the new born appears. May the fragrance of Dhamma pervades everywhere, so that such beings will no longer suffer.

May the flicker of the candle flame hold steady. For its steadiness reflects the teachings of a calm and peaceful mind. May we all learn to live by such peace, and accept the truth in that light.

May all beings be well and peaceful.
