Ba Ria-Vung Tau's Buddhist dignitaries meet on Buddha's birthday

Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Vietnam -- Buddhist dignitaries in the central coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau affirmed that they would follow Party guidelines and policies and State law. They made the affirmation while meeting with leaders of the provincial Fatherland Front and the Religious and Ethnicity Board on the occasion of Buddha's birthday.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau is home to 2,981 Buddhist monks and nuns who practise the religion in 513 pagodas and worshipping places.
The province's monks, nuns and followers have to date raised more than 4 billion VND to assist poor and disabled people and orphans.
The provincial Buddhist Sangha's executive committee has worked with monks and nuns to provide free meals for poor patients in Le Loi and Ba Ria hospitals
