According to Acharya Pragya, divisional incharge of the Society, 500 Hindu dalits were converted to Buddhism at a religious gathering in Ambola village on Friday.
He claimed close to 5000 dalits have converted to Buddhism in the past couple of months in western Uttar Pradesh.
