US Nonviolent Peaceforce Delegation Visits Dharamshala

Dharamshala, India -- A 10-member delegation of the US Nonviolent Peaceforce is on visit to Dharamshala, the seat of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), from 5-7 September.
The delegation called on Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche and Mr. Karma Choephel, chairperson of the Assembly of the Tibetan People's Deputies, this morning.
Yesterday they met Mr. Thubten Samphel, Information Secretary, Department of Information and International Relations of the CTA who briefed them on the Tibetan community in exile.
The delegation visited the Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute and Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA). The delegation will also tour various other institutions in and around Dharamshala during its short stay here.
Tomorrow the delegation will be given an introduction of the Tibetan Buddhism from Geshe Lhakdor, Director of the LTWA.
