We strongly protest against the harsh and brutal measures taken by the Burmese military on the monks, nuns and innocent lay people protesting against years of oppression.
We urge the soldiers to remember the first precept every Burmese knows: PANATIPATA VERAMANI SIKKHA-PADAM SAMADIYAMI - I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from taking the life of living beings
May all beings be free.
