Brazilian Campaign for Burma Recovery
by Ricardo Sasaki, The Buddhist Channel, May 9, 2008
Nalanda Buddhist Center of Brazil (a registered religious entity active in Brazil for the 20 years) joins the initiative of Buddhist Aid Trust, Myanmar Cyclone Recovery Fund and Nibbana.com, and lanches a Brazilian Campaign to gather resources for the thousands of victims in Burma/Myanmar due to the Cyclone Nargis.
"Brasileiros pela Birmania/Brazilians for Burma Recovery" is the Brazilian Humanitarian Campaign to help the rebuilding of small towns, giving food, water, medicine and shelter to those who lost everything.
An exclusive account was set up and will transfer each cent to the Trustees of the Buddhist Aid Trust (a registered charity in the UK). The donations raised in this campaign will be used for the Cyclone Victims only.
As small as we can donate, we are confident it will be of help to the poor victims of the worst disaster in Myanmar history.
Please visit the special page at http://nalanda.org.br/seva/brasil-pela-birmania for Brazilian Donations or the international page http://www.myanmarnet.co.uk/cyclone.htm to make a donation online or by other conventional methods. . Let´s gather together our forces!
