South Korea President sends "Chuseok Greetings" to Buddhist Leader

Seoul, South Korea -- President Lee Myung-bak has sent Chuseok holiday greetings and gifts to the Most Venerable Beopjeon, the Supreme Patriarch of the Korean Order of Jogye Buddhism. The Jogye Order is the largest Buddhist sect in Korea.
Presidential social policy adviser, Kang Yoon-koo, visited the Buddhist leader at Haein Temple in Hapcheon, South Gyeongsang Province on Monday.
The Buddhist leader inquired about the president and the first lady. Then, he urged the president to try to unite all South Koreans, including Buddhists, saying that national solidarity facilitates national growth.
