Hollywood, Los Angeles (USA) -- RICHARD GERE is determined to instill his Buddhist beliefs into his son HOMER, even though the five-year-old is struggling to understand the actor's religious lessons.
The PRETTY WOMAN star has followed the DALAI LAMA's teaching that to make a child respectful of life, you need to get them to respect the life of an insect first.
The 55-year-old says, "If you can get a child to understand that even an insect feels pleasure and pain and has a life force exactly as we do, then that is a powerful lesson to teach a child."
