Buddhist Cultural and Art Festival held in Indonesia

Surabaya, Indonesia -- The second Buddhist Cultural and Art Festival was held in Surabaya from June 25 to 30. Buddhist organisations from Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Indonesia participated in the festival co-ordinated by the Buddhist Education Centre, Surabaya.
The guests visited the 'Sri Lanka Pavilion' arranged by Dr. Arya Tjahjadi, the Honorary Consul Sri Lanka in Surabaya on the instructions of Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Maj.Gen.(Retd.) Nanda Mallawaarachchi VSV.
Maj.Gen.(Retd.) Nanda Mallawaarachchi also called on the Governor of East Java Imam Utomo, at the Governor's office on June 26. The Ambassador was accompanied by Dr. Arya Tjahjadi, the Consul of Surabaya in Sri Lanka and Lal De Silva, President Director HARVEST, a Sri Lankan entrepreneur.
